How to Pick a Portable Massage Reiki Table

Many people who take Reiki training decide to go into business as practitioners to help and heal others.  Buying your own office or workspace isn’t always an option when you first get started, and many offer mobile Reiki sessions, traveling to a person’s home to give Reiki sessions.  An excellent investment is a portable massage table that you can bring along with you and set up in a person’s home or your own home.  They are easy to store and take along with you.

Today we are looking at the Sierra Comfort All-Inclusive portable massage table.  It’s one I have used myself and have been extremely happy with.  It’s priced in the mid-range of other tables and is a great investment for your Reiki practice.

The Sierra Comfort model comes with many accessories, including a fitted sheet for the table, a removable facial cradle that a be raised or lowered for your client’s comfort, armrest and arm support for your client’s comfort.  The table is made with high-quality maple hardwood, and the foam cushioning is high density and comfortable to lay on.  The table is both oil-resistant and waterproof, which is great if you use it for massages that utilize body oils.  It has a weight capacity of 450 lbs, and the height can be easily adjusted.

Some other great features are the semi-circle bolster, towel hanger, and oil pouch, which can carry other things, such as Reiki gemstones.  Lastly, it comes with its own carrier bag and is very lightweight at 31 lbs.

There are a few things to consider when looking for that perfect Reiki table.  For example, buying a wood frame or a metal frame.

Meta frames won’t absorb as much negative vibrational energy, where wood frames absorb this kind of energy slowly over time.  This doesn’t mean wood frames are bad for Reiki sessions, though!  I personally love a wood frame because it gives off a more earthy and grounding energy for sessions, and my clients prefer it over a metal frame, which can feel a bit clinical.  If you choose a wooden frame table, make sure you regularly clear those toxic energies from it.

You can clear these energies in several ways, such as smudging with sage, using aromatherapy oils with clearing properties, such as lavender, rosemary, or peppermint.  I like to set up my table when there is a Full Moon and let the Moon’s cleansing rays and energies clear and recharge my equipment.

Other things to take into consideration are the clients you will have. Some may be less mobile than others.  So having a Reiki table that is height adjustable for their comfort and allows you to adjust head positioning is important.  Not all tables will offer this, especially those that are cheaper.

This is why the Sierra Comfort All-Inclusive Portable Massage Table is, in my opinion, a great investment.  It offers many options and is really easy to store away and take with you wherever you need to go.
